Stupid questions

It is funny with people that are on holiday, it is like they put their brain on holiday to. You can not imagine the stupid questions I get sometimes. We have service hours three times a week in the hotels, where people can come to us if they have questions or want to go on excurisons and so on. Then we sometimes get people comming to us and saying they need a glas in their room or an extra pillow or something like that, and instead of going to the reception and ask for it them selves the wait for 2 days until we come to the hotel and ask us to talk to the reception. But the best one was this morning. We have a service telephone and this Swedish guy called me and asked me what he should do because he got sunburned8)......... How stupid can you be....

Back to work

Well now it is back to work. It was very nice to meet mom and Alex and Lilja. We had great 5 days in Krit. This morning I flew back to Athens and then to Chios, where I have to sleep for the night and then take the boat back to Cesme tomorrow morning, and then it is back to work on Tuesday.

It has been a very relaxing holiday, good food, beach, sun, water park......
The first day we relaxed by the pool and went in to town for dinner with the Icelandair crew, and then we walked around in town. The day after me and Alex, went with the captins wife and their son to a water park, it was very fun, it was not a very big park but it was ok. In the evening there were a Greek night at the hotel, a buffe and entertainment, after the dinner we were all drawn to the dance floor. It was very funny to dance Sorba (the Greek dance) together with 60 other people, we made a big cirkle around the restaurant. There were 3 boys and a girl working for the animation team at the hotel, and they were doing a good job taking everybody to the dance floor. One of the boys, Daniele from Italy, asked me if I wanted to meet them later that night. So after the dinner and dance I went to a disco with the animation team:) There was a girl from Norway, who speaks Icelandic working in the bar.....
The day after (Friday) we (me, mom, Alex and Lilja) went for a walk at the beach and had dinner in the evening. Daniele asked me if I wanted to go out again, but I was to tired:lol:
Saturday, relaxed at the beach, went into town and had dinner.
Sunday back to Chios.

It was very nice seeing my mom and Alex and Lilja, but of course I also would have liked to see my dad and Sandra, but Sandra is in Calaforina learning English and my dad could not get off form work. And my mom and Lilja where working. Nice work, most people pay money to go to Krit for a week but the Icelandair crew got payed to stay there for a week, and got a free hotel:D

Holiday

Last Tuesday me and Björn had the day off, so we rented a scooter (we didn´t have to pay because we are Apollo people) and then we drove around Cesme. It was so nice to be driving a scooter again, I´ve missed it so much. Right outside Cesme, there is a small village called Alacati, and it is a surfer paradise, every year a big competition is held there for surfers all around the world. We wanted to go there and check it out and maybe try surfing. There are all together 6 surfer school in Alacati. But we could not find any water, we drove around town and all we could se was mountains, but we kept on driving and then all of a sudden we saw the surfers. We asked about if we could go surfing and how many lessons we had to take and so on. We have to take 8 hours lesson in two days. So now me and Björn just have to have day off together so we can go learn to surf. I also want to learn to dive, so all my days off are planed.

Tomorrow I am going on a holiday for 6 days. My mother, my brother and my aunt Lilja are going to Creta for one week and I am going to visit them. Tomorrow morning I take the boat to Chios, it takes 50 minutes form Cesme. Then I fly from Chios til Athens and from Athens to Creta. I am looking forward meeting them all, and it is also going to be nice to relax for some time…….

I´ll tell you everything about it when I get back.

Kusadasi

Sorry for what I was depressed last time I wrote. But you should always be careful what you wish for….. Me and Betina had day off yesterday. On Wednesday night we rented a car and drove the 170km to Kusadasi to visit our college Jette who is the only guide down there. We arrived to Kusadasi around midnight and then we went to the bar street. Kusadasi is a much bigger town than Cesme, so there is a bar street, which you don´t find in Cesme. We were at the bar street until 7 o´clock in the morning, dancing and having fun. Jette knows EVERYBODY in this bar street. Because she is working alone in Kusadasi, that is why she has a lot of local friends. We woke up around noon, we didn´t want to sleep the whole day. The plan was to go to Adaland, which is a big Water park. But when we hat eaten lunch, and looked at the shops, it was to late. Then we went to Hamam. Hamam is a traditional Turkish bath. First you sit in the sauner, then you are scrubed from head to toe. Then you get soap massage. So that was very relaxing. Then it was time for dinner and after that we went and bought a guitar for Björn. We bought a second hand and only payed around 25€ for it. At 11 we drove the 2 hours way back. 10 km outside Cesme we ran out of gas. So we had to walk, in the middle of the night, for 3 km to get some gas, and then 3 km back. When we where almost in Cesme, the police stopped us and asked a lot of questions because they had seen the car parked on the side of the street. We arrived home around 3 o´clock this morning and then I had to wake up at 8 o´clock, so I am very tired now. But I don´t have time for it because tonight the whole time are going out in Cesme…..

No social life...

For the last 4 weeks the only thing we do is work and sleep, work and sleep. We have been out twice since we came here. And I am getting pretty tired…… We go to work around 8, 9 o´clock. We eat lunch around 2pm. Then we eat dinner very late around 9, 10 o´clock. And when we come home around 11pm we are so tired we go straight to bed. At my day off I sleep and clean the house, and shop groceries. So that is my life right now. But hopefully soon we can have some more free time, so we can get some social life. We are getting very tired……….
